Originally from Rochdale, Lancashire I now live in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire with my wife, Lisa and son, Thomas.
Enjoying life and learning, I’m constantly looking on the positive side of things and always have a smile. Learning new skills, taking onboard new knowledge and savouring new experiences energises and challenges me.
I genuinely believe anything is possible. It’s a case of working out what is needed to achieve the goal, acquiring and developing the knowledge, the skills and resources required and staying motivated throughout the journey, however long it may take.
My career so far
From the foundation of a BSc in Chemistry at the University of Warwick, I spent 10 years working in the pharmaceutical industry for Merck & Co. Inc. spanning various Operational, Leadership and Strategic roles including Learning & Development roles.
I chose to work in the pharmaceutical industry because of the difference medicines make in improving people’s lives. This has always been incredibly rewarding and gave me a real buzz each and every time a colleague, the team or I made a difference for someone.
This led me to set up Ispire so I can continue to work with fascinating people and shape inspiring development projects across a variety of industries.
Coaching Executives with their own consulting companies, and installing and embedding a culture of learning agility within large, multi-national corporations are just a few of the projects I have worked on, and this journey has only just begun.
With an MSc in Coaching and Behavioural Change from Henley Business School, an MBTI accreditation in my back pocket and a continual drive to explore, learn and grow personally and professionally through membership of the Henley Centre for Coaching and Behaviour Change, I am ready to take on the next challenge…and the one after that.
Why should you get in touch
Whether I’m working in business or sport, I enjoy making a difference for people by using my expertise to support individuals and organisations to get from A to B, whatever their B might be.
With my wide-ranging experience, belief that anything is possible and energy for supporting others to achieve, I am in an excellent position to consult, design and deliver a learning programme that blends facilitation, development and coaching to enable you or your organisation to transform to where you aspire to be.
The key is tailoring the programme to your style and needs, together with being supported in a way that suits your unique situation.
